Like I mentioned earlier, the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser shares similar specifications as its predecessor. The company is introducing a special edition known as the Heritage Edition for the 2021 model year. I will not write much on the Heritage Edition until I get full specifications of it after its launch in September 2020. Meanwhile, I will be reviewing the specifications, release date, and price of the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser in Nigeria. For the fact I added Nigeria doesn’t mean I will focus on the Nigerian pricing, no I will also review the company’s MSRP.
In the course of the review, I will be reviewing the 2021 Land Cruiser bits by bits for a better understanding.

Powertrain
The 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser will be dropping with a 5.7 liter DOHC V8 engine which produces a power 381-horsepower and a torque of 401 lb.ft. An 8-speed Electronically Controlled Automatic Transmission with intelligence [ECT-i] is merged with a versatile full-time 4WD system in other to increase its performance. A bigger engine needs a powerful transmission so it doesn’t fail.
The transmission uses a Torsen limited-slip locking center differential and a 2-speed transfer case with a selectable low range.
Off-road and overall performance.
The 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser is built on high-strength body-on-frame construction and sophisticated double-wishbone front and four-link coil-spring rear suspension. The on-road smoothness and the off-road wheel articulation are brought about by the Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System [KDSS].
Other systems such as a plethora of advanced assistive technologies, including Downhill Assist Control, Hill Start Assist, CRAWL Control, and Off-Road Turn Assist combines to give you a good ride.
The driver can match wheel slip control to the surface and driving conditions by using the Multi-Terrain Select System.
The front suspension, radiator, fuel tank, and transfer case are all protected with the help of the skid plate.
It comes with a standard Trailer Towing Package and it can pull a trailer of up to 8,100 pounds.
2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Safety systems
All the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser will come with Toyota Safety Sense P [TSS-P] as a standard option across all models. This system uses a millimeter-wave radar and a monocular camera sensor to detect a preceding pedestrian or preceding vehicle.
The TSS-P is designed to apply braking if necessary, to help mitigate or avoid collisions in certain conditions. The system includes Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and Automatic High Beams. In addition to TSS-P, Blind Spot Monitor and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are also standard.
The interior
Like I said earlier, there is no much difference between this Land Cruiser and its predecessor. It will carry over its full complement of amenities. This includes ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel with power tilt and telescoping and memory, power moonroof, four-zone automatic climate control with 28 cabin air vents, and Smart Key keyless entry with push-button start.
2021 Land Cruiser Entertainment and Connectivity
The SUV will be debuting with a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment systems which feature standard premium JBL Audio with Integrated Navigation, 14 JBL speakers, split-screen capability, advanced voice recognition, Siri Eyes Free Mode, SiriusXM, Satelite Radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and music streaming, and Qi wireless charging with compatible phones. These same specifications can be found on the 2021 Lexus LX 570.
2021 Toyota Land Cruiser Heritage Edition
Toyota is adding a special edition to the 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser line up. Its nicknamed the Heritage Edition. The special edition comes with almost the specifications as the other model. Three-row seating configurations offered on the base model will be an available option on the Heritage Edition.
The production of the Heritage Edition will kick off in September 2020 ahead of the 2021 model year. We will update you on the full specifications once the production has commenced.

The pricing of the normal 2021 Toyota Land Cruiser with a 4WS base will start from $85,515 while the Heritage Edition is pegged at $87,845.
