What’s new for the 2022 Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe
Adaptive Highbeam is now standard on standard on the model while the Cirrus Silver paint is now available as an option. TheAir Balance and multi contour Front Seats with massage are now available as a standalone option.
The engine and power
The model is still making use of the AMG-enhanced 3.0l Inline-6 Turbo Engine with a 48-volt Mild Hybrid system. The engine is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT 9G Transmission for better optimization of the power output.
The gasoline engine produces 429 hp and torque of 384 lb-ft, while the 48V hybrid system provides an additional boost of 21 hp and 184 lb-ft, this brings the total power output to 450 hp.
The interior
For better handling, the AMG Performance steering wheel is covered in Nappa leather. The interior features an AMG-specific seat design in MB-Tex with red stitching and AMG badging.
For infotainment, the 2022 GLE 53 features a 12.3″ Digital Instrument Cluster and 12.3″ Touchscreen Multimedia Display.
