2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse cross unveils with the new styling
Mitsubishi in a communiqué made it known that the 2022 Eclipse Cross will first launch in Australia and New Zealand in November, and in the U.S in the first quarter of 2021. The Hybrid version will follow suit in selected markets. I will be reviewing the specifications and price of the 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross in Nigeria.

New exterior design
The 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross is unveiling with significant styling enhancements that produce a sleek sporty SUV appearance.
Its front end adopts an evolved version of Mitsubishi’s signature Dynamic Shield design concept, expressing strength and security. A new front bumper guard and refreshed light layout complete the front design with a bold, dynamic look.
Its sleek silhouette continues to the rear with a redesigned hatch and rear window, this gives a more sophisticated SUV styling and resulting in improved rear visibility as well as distinctive and contemporary styling.

Its iconic three-dimensional taillights extend upwards and inwards, and this enhances the look with a wide and stable presence. Its new tailgate also features a sharply sculpted hexagon design reminiscent of the company’s iconic rear-mounted spare tire shape. This blends the sleek and elegant style with the ruggedness and dependability expectations of an SUV.
New Interior Design
2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse is debuting with a new 8-inch smartphone-link display Audio System as a standard feature. This gives the driver a better view of the information and easier operation. The screen has also been moved closer to the driver and the front end passenger for ease of use. It now comes with a volume and tuning knob for faster reference. Mitsubishi removed the touchpad that was previously used for multiple functions to give space for more storage space on the center console.
The cabin is now made of a new black interior with silver accents and light gray leather seats which creates a more sophisticated look. Its door trims also coordinate with the car seat color to feature a high-quality sporty interior space.
Engine and transmission
Mitsubishi carried over the 1.5-liter MIVEC direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It’s made of aluminum for lightweight, this perfectly balances the seemingly distinct priorities of power and efficiency.
Its fuel consumption is reduced using a compact turbocharger, this also minimizes turbo lag for driver-centric feel and performance. The combination of direct fuel injection and turbocharging delivers greater efficiency at all roads and engine speeds.
The 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine is paired with an eight-speed sports mode continuous variable transmission [CVT].
It achieves low fuel consumption while optimizing driving dynamics.
Global pricing of 2021 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross
The MSRP of 2022 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross ranges from $24,190. Although the price is yet to be announced but we believe that the price range won’t exceed that amount.
