Engine, torque, and performance
The high-performance sports car is equipped with an AMG 4.0-litre V8 biturbo engine that produces 750 hp. The basic grade produces 707 hp. Mercedes-AMG also equipped the sports car with a Push2Pass feature that allows the driver to have even more control of the individual track day performance.
Power from the V8 biturbo engine is transferred by a sequential six-speed racing gearbox with modified gear ratios. Like in all Mercedes-AMG race cars, the transmission is mounted on the rear axle in a transaxle configuration and connected to the engine utilizing a carbon fiber torque tube with high torsion and torque stiffness. The chassis includes comprehensively adjustable four-way motorsport shock absorbers.
New exterior equipment on the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GT2 PRO
For the 2024 model year, all factory deliveries will be finished in matt grey full paint with separately finished decoration strips and GT2 PRO logos. Premium carbon elements integrated into the exterior of the sports car add a more bright finish.
