In today’s quick review, I will be writing about the history, specifications, and price of Polaris Slingshot in Nigeria.
Polaris Slingshot is a three-wheeled motor vehicle that was manufactured in 2014 ahead of the 2015 model year in the USA by Polaris Slingshot. The production started in 2014 at the industry’s plant in Alabama, USA.
It has tilt-adjustable steering. It’s not a convertible car neither does it have any roof nor window. The good thing about the vehicle is the fact that the car’s whole interior is waterproof so it can be hosed on the floor.
Polaris Slingshot comes in three variants which are the standard version, the SL version, and the SL LE version. All the models have a double-wishbone front suspension with an anti-roll bar. The first standard has two 17-inch front wheels and a single 18-inch wheel in the rear of the vehicle, while the other two variants come with two 18-inch forged aluminum front wheels and a 20-inch rear wheels.
The company added an option of a small windshield on the base model.

The Engine and transmission.
Polaris Slingshot is powered by a 2.4 liter inline four-cylinder GM Ecotec gasoline engine. This engine produces 173 hp at 6200rpm, its torque is pegged at 400 rpm.
The engine used in the Slingshot was previously used by General Motors in three different cars namely: Pontiac Solstice, Saturn sky sports car, and the Chevrolet Cobalt.
There was a massive redesign of the Slingshot. It received a massive upgrade in the engine. The old engine was replaced with a 2.0-liter I-4 engine. The new engine and motor produced 200 hp and rpm of 8500.
This new design can be fitted with either a 5-speed manual or automatic transmission.
Polaris Slingshot on inception came with 5-Speed manual transmission. An option for a 5-speed AutoDrive came into existence in 2020.
