Available grades and powertrain
For the 2025 model year, the all-electric Lexus RZ is available in two options RZ 300e and the top-of-the-range RX 450e.
RZ 300e
The entry 2025 Lexus RZ 300e is powered by a 72.8 kWh Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Limited (CATL) lithium-ion battery and is available only with FWD, delivering 201 hp. When equipped with 18-inch wheels, the electric can attain a 266-mile range and an EPA-estimated MPGe rating of 137/112/125 (city/highway/combined). However, when equipped with larger 20-inch wheels, its range and MPGe drop to 224 miles and 114/94/105.
Lexus also dropped the rear eAxle of AWD for a subframe, the subframe reduces vibrations and noise, thereby bringing the dream of a serene interior to pass.
RZ 450e
The top-of-the-range RZ 450e delivers more power and comfort. Standard on the grade is the Direct4 all-wheel drive system, first introduced on the 2023 Lexus RX, featuring a rear eAxle coupled with engine and front motor. This system offers optimized drive force, traction, and posture control. DIRECT4’s front-to-rear torque distribution has a maximum range of 100:0 to 0:100, depending on the driving situation.

Platform
All 2025 Lexus RZ are built on the e-TNGA steel platform, offering an optimal placement of mass and high body rigidity. The new platform employs high-tensile steel panels and an aluminum hood to reduce weight and increase rigidity.
Lexus mounted the 96-cell lithium-ion battery pack under the vehicle floor, creating a low center of gravity and inertia movement.
