Toyota has unveiled the new 2027 Hilux pickup truck, offering performance, beauty, and comfort. It’s available in a variety of engine options to suit every need, with hydrogen grades expected to join the lineup in 2028. Exterior design of the 2027 Toyota Hilux
The new 2027 Toyota Hilux features a redesigned exterior design carried over from 2026. The front is characterized by slim new headlights and a central bar bearing the TOYOTA name in classic style. A wide hexagonal mesh pattern below the grille adds a distinctive look to the truck. The fog lamp bezels, the arching of the upper bumper, the wheel arch trims, the side step tread surface, and the alloy wheel designs are also characterized by strong angular detailing.

Higher trims, ideal for private use, are powered by a 4.0-liter V6 petrol engine producing 235 horsepower and 376 Nm of torque. All V6 grades, regardless of the trim, are equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission that sends power to the 4×4 four-wheel-drive system.
Fuel consumption and fuel tank capacity
Customers who desire top-notch fuel economy are advised to opt for the 2.7-liter petrol engine grades that deliver 10.0 to 10.1 km/l. The official fuel economy rating of the 2.8L diesel grade is pegged at 13.9 km/L combined. The V6 grade comes with a 9.5 km/L combined rating; this makes it a variant for men with deep pockets.
All grades are equipped with an 80-liter fuel tank as standard.
Suspension system
The front of the 2027 Hilux is equipped with a coil spring suspension, while the rear features a rigid leaf spring suspension system. Premium grades are equipped with flexible rear leaf spring suspension for improved comfort in the cabin.
