Mercedes-Maybach premiers the first electric EQS concept

In our last article, we reviewed the newly unveiled G-Wagon electric concept, in this article, we will be reviewing the full specifications of the Mercedes-Maybach EQS concept. the company just provided a clear preview of the first fully electric series-production model for the tradition-steeped luxury brand. The exterior design

The concept car is instantly recognizable as a member of the Mercedes-Maybach and Mercedes-EQ families. The car is purely based on an electric vehicle architecture. A dynamic silhouette extends the entire length of the vehicle, starting with a low front end, flowing tautly over the sloping A-pillar and roof contour and incorporating the airflow breakaway edge of the rear spoiler. The wheel wells are designed with cladding in high-gloss black to show power and emotionality.

The upright panel front also flows seamlessly into the wraparound bonnet and headlights. Coming to the lightings, the LED light units showcase the lighting with individual diamond-block framed with a fine knit mesh of the Maybach emblem.

The front bonnet features the classic Maybach lettering, the upright Mercedes star, and the longitudinal chrome-plated trim strip in the center.
The automatic doors
An exclusive equipment option is provided by the automatic comfort doors at the front and rear. The door handles first extend when the user approaches the vehicle. As the driver approaches further, the driver’s door opens automatically. The driver also has the option of opening the rear doors remotely using the MBUX system.
Exclusive two-tone finish

The concept EQS is finished in two-tone paint finish in obsidian black metallic and zircon red metallic with a fine pinstripe in chrome as a visual dividing line. The Generous chrome surfaces do not extend over the air intakes and diffuser at the front and rear only, but it also frames the windows with a dynamically flowing chrome surround in a 3D design.
The Maybach “M” can be found on the D-pillar, the B-pillars are also chrome plated and have been exclusively finished with subtle and emblem patterns.
Wheels
The Mercedes-Maybach EQS concept features 24-inch light-alloy wheels in the Maybach “bowl” design – with short spokes and a flat entre section- as well as Maybach lettering which emphasizes the appearance of the all-electric SUV.
The interior design
The interior of the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS combines luxury and comfort as the S-Class. the First-lass rear suite with two individual seats is also inspired by the S-Class as well as the High-End Rear Seat entertainment System that guarantees the highest level of comfort onboard.

The calf rest is made larger because the SUV concept allows for more seat height, this allows the passenger’s feet to float above the “faux fur” floor covering.

The latest MBUX Hyperscreen with Maybach-specific display styles and content is an eye-catcher, this gives the interior a more luxurious feel. The large, curved screen unit extends almost from pillar A-pillar to A-pillar.
The new hyper screen is made up of three screens that sit under a glass cover and appear to merge into one. the control area and display area are display on the 12.3-inch OLED display for the front passengers. The entertainment functions are only available while the car is driven in accordance with country-specific legal regulations.
