In 2022 the portfolio will include eight all-electric Mercedes-EQ models. The company is ready for the company’s electric product offensive and is integrating its Mercedes-EQ models into series production in its existing plants.
The EQS is the first electric luxury sedan from Mercedes-Benz, it will start in the half of 2021 in factory 56 at the Sindelfingen site in Germany.
The reason why Mercedes-Benz is moving very fast to pure electrification is that most countries will ban the use of new cars that still use combustion engines by 2030. Toyota recently produced an electric truck that can travel over a long distance on full electricity.
As for Nigerians, I don’t think we are going to see this anytime soon because from the look of things you cannot import any right now.
