The first Bugatti Chiron was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on 1st March 2016. The car inspiration was gotten from the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car.
As we all know, the Bugatti Chiron is a mid-engine two-seater sports car developed and manufactured in Molsheim, France. It is manufactured by French automobile manufacturer Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S.
Bugatti Chiron is named after the Monegasque driver Louis Chiron.

The engine
The engine is a 7,993 cc [8.0 L] quad-turbocharged W16 engine. The engine has been updated in recent times to increase performance. The peak power output of the engine is 1,479 hp at 6,700 rpm and 1,600 N.m of torque starting from 2,000 to 6,000 rpm. This engine is the most powerful of its predecessor.
The Body.
The body is made of carbon fiber structure. It also comes with independent suspension and the Haldex all-wheel-drive system. The stiffness of the carbon fiber body is rated at 50,000 Nm per degree.
The speed
It was announced at the 2017 IAA show, Frankfurt, that Bugatti Chiron broke the record of fastest 0 – 400 – 0 km/h [0 – 249 – 0 mph] acceleration time. The Chiron completed this in 41.96 seconds in a span of 3.2 kilometers at the Ehra-Lessien high-speed oval. The car was driven by Colombian racing driver Juan Pablo Montoya.
The Bugatti Chiron’s top speed is electronically limited to 420 km/h or 375 – 380 km/h without the specific key, for safety reasons, mainly arising from tires as the manufacturers concluded that no tyre currently manufactured would be able to withstand the stress at top speed the Chiron is capable of achieving.
The sales of the Bugatti Chiron.
The first 200 cars were sold before the first was delivered. This means that people pre-ordered 200 units of the Bugatti Chiron. Note that the base price is 2,400,000 Euros and the buyers were mandated to deposit 200,000 Euros before their purchase.

There are so many variants of the Bugatti Chiron which include the Chiron sport [2018 – present], 110 Ans Buagtti [ 2019 – present], Chiron super sport 300+ [2020 – present], Chiron Pur sport [2020 – present] and the Bugatti La Voiture Noire.

The Bugatti La Voiture Noire
This particular car was introduced at the 2019 Geneva Motor show. The car was produced based on the Chiron design. The car was produced to mark the company’s distinctive history.
It is worthy to note that every part of the car was hand-built and it was designed by Etienne Salome which was an elongated nose that was similar to the Divo. The rear section as elongated too. The notable features include unique wing mirrors, LED taillight strip, and wheels. The car still retained its mid-engine layout, unlike the previous variants.
The La Voiture is powered by the same 8.0 Litre quad-turbocharged W16 engine and it comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and all-wheel-drive system. The car features 6 exhaust pipes recalling the innovative design of the past.
The price of Bugatti La Voiture Noire in Nigeria
Let’s take for example, in Nigeria, 11,000,000 Euros will be at about 4,728,180,600 Naira when calculated with 400 Naira to a Dollar. Then you add the 70 percent customs duty, do that by yourself and see the new figure. Note that there are other petty taxes that you will pay.
If you need this car, it’s possible that you can buy it but you may buy it with the same amount of money that will buy you a new luxury private jet.
Different rumors about the ownership of the Bugatti La Voiture Noire.
There have been so many rumors regarding the ownership of the most expensive car built by Bugatti. One of the most popular ones is the rumor that went worldwide that the car is owned by a Juventus striker named Cristiano Ronaldo.
This is not true from my own research. The owner of this car is a private owner and his identity was not made public by the company.

The price of Bugatti Chiron in Nigeria starts from 2,500,000 Dollars depending on the year of production and condition. It’s worthy noting that this car is not always available in the country. The car comes in via pre-order and it will land at any international airport of your choice within 5 working days.
