The production of the 2012 Toyota Camry started in August 2011 ahead of the 2012 model year. The sales of this model started in September 2011 in the US. The new Camry received a full makeover. It came with three different engines, they are a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid model that produces 200 hp, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that’s rated at 178 hp and a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 268 hp.
It came with so many different trim levels which include: L, LE, SE, XLE, SE V6, XLE V6, Hybrid LE, and Hybrid XLE. There was no manual transmission in this model. All the trims came with a 6-speed automatic transmission except the hybrid version that came with an eCVT transmission.

The price of eight-generation Camry in Nigeria
In January 2017, the eighth generation Camry was unveiled at the January 2017 North American International Auto Show. The production in North America was dated back to June 2017 and it went on sale in late July 2017.
The unique features include the customized front fascia for each trim level. The Camry infotainment was powered by Linux OS. It’s the first car to introduce the Entune 3.0 system.
The transmission includes a simulated six-speed sequential-shift automatic for hybrid models, six-speed automatic for the 2.5l 2AR-FE engine, or an eight-speed automatic for the other I4 and V6 powered Camrys.
