What’s new for the 2023 model year?
For the 2023 model, below are some new features and modifications, they include:
- Jailbreak models, introduced last year for the 6.2-liter HEMI high-output V-8 Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye, are now available for the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 SRT Hellcat, offering more owners the chance to unlock the full menu of Dodge personalization options
- Heritage colors, returning for the 2023 model year, include Plum Crazy and B5 Blue – part of a lineup of 14 exterior color options for the 2023 Challenger

Power, engine, and performance
For the 2023 model year, the 807-horsepower Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock is the world’s quickest and most powerful muscle car. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour (mph) in just 3.25 seconds with a top speed (tire limited) of 168 mph.
The Challenger SRT Super Stock comes standard with the most powerful production supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi high-output V-8 engine which features a revised powertrain calibration that increases rated power output to 807 horsepower by increasing the shift point from 6,300 rpm to 6,400 rpm. The engine is mated to a TorqueFlite 8HP90 eight-speed automatic transmission, this is standard on the SXT, SXT AWD, GT, GT AWD, SRT Hellcat Redeye, and SRT Super Stock models, while it’s optional on the R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat models.
Standard on the R/T, R/T Scat Pack, and SRT Hellcat models is the Tremec six-speed manual transmission.
The Jailbreak models also boost 807 horsepower with a revised powertrain calibration.
Suspension and brakes
The Bilstein adaptive damping suspension has been tuned for drag racing, shifting as much weight as possible on the rear tires at launch for maximum traction. For improved safety and braking, the SRT Super Stock comes standard with lightweight all-aluminum Brembo four-piston brake calipers and 14.2-inch vented rotors.
Wheels and tires
Standard on the 2023 Challenger SRT Super Stock are the lightweight 18-by-11-inch wheels finished in Gloss Granite that still rides on the sticky 315/40R18 Nitto NT05R drag radial tires that were first featured on SRT Demon.
HEMI Orange and SRT Black packages
The HEMI Orange and SRT Black package features:
- HEMI Orange Appearance Package, available on GT RWD and Scat Pack Widebody models for Challenger, pays homage to the iconic HEMI engine that has powered Dodge muscle cars for decades
