Sporty and rugged exterior design
The front of the Mercedes-AMG GLC comes standard with an AMG-specific radiator grille with vertical struts and the AMG front fascia with flics, sporty air intakes, and chrome trim elements. Airflow is specifically directed to their various functions by the large inlets and air curtains.

Harmoniously integrated side sill panels, the diffuser-look rear fascia (GLC 43) or additional diffuser board (GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE) and the two twin tailpipe trims (round on the GLC 43, trapezoidal on the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE) highlight the vehicle’s exterior.

Luxury interior design

All the 2024 AMG GLC comes standard with AMG seats in MB-Tex/microfiber with distinctive graphics and upholstery to add a sporty touch that matches its performance. Optional features include a leather and Nappa leather upholstery with an embossed AMG crest in the front headrest and AMG Performance seats.

GLC 43’s AMG Performance steering wheel is finished in Nappa leather while the high-performance GLC 63 S E Performance is finished in Nappa leather or microfibre. Aluminum gearshift paddles, AMG soft pedals, floor mats, and illuminated door sills are standard across all grades. Two round AMG DRIVE UNIT buttons allow fast and intuitive operation of various dynamic driving functions and the AMG DYNAMIC SELECT drive programs.

The MBUX infotainment system features AMG-specific displays and functions. These include special displays on the instrument cluster, a central multimedia display, and an optional head-up display. The AMG-exclusive “Supersport” style offers the option of showcasing driver-focused content in a vertical format. This includes a set-up menu that displays the current settings of the suspension or transmission. In addition, the driver can have a navigation map or consumption data displayed.

Mercedes-AMG also added the AMG TRACK PACE, an optional data logger for use at the racetrack to the 2024 GLC as standard. The software records more than 80 vehicle-specific data points such as speed, acceleration, and steering angle ten times per second while the car is driven on the track.

Engines and performance
The all-new 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 43 comes standard with a 2.0-liter engine which generates a power output of 416 hp at 6,750 rpm and 369 lb-ft of torque at 5,000 rpm. A belt-driven starter generator (RSG) provides an additional boost of 13 hp when needed. With this 48-volt technology, the transitions between the start/stop function and the gliding function are almost imperceptible.
The GLC 43 accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 4.7 seconds, with a top speed electronically limited to 155 mph.

Standard on the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 S E Performance is the powerful M139l 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine with an Electric Drive Unit (EDU) which delivers a power output of 469 hp at 6,275 rpm and maximum torque output of 402 lb-ft at 5,250 to 5,500 rpm. The internal combustion engine is combined with a permanently excited synchronous electric motor, a high-performance battery developed in Affalterbach, and the fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system. The combined system output of the 2024 GLC 63 S E Performance is 671 hp and maximum system torque of 752 lb-ft.
The luxury coupe attains 60 mph from a standstill in 3.4 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 171 mph.
Hybrid power output and battery
The high-performance battery in the GLC 63 S E Performance offers a capacity of 6.1 kWh, 107 hp continuous power, and 201 hp peak power for ten seconds. Charging takes place via recuperation or the 3.7 kW onboard AC charger at a charging station, wall box, or household socket. The battery is designed for fast power delivery and draws rather than the longest possible range.
Transmission
Both powertrains in the 2024 GLC are mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission, in which a wet start-off clutch replaces the torque converter. This new transmission reduces weight and also optimizes responses to accelerator pedal input, especially during spurts and load changes.
In the GLC 43, the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive features a permanent power distribution between the front and rear axles of 31 to 69 percent. The rear-biased configuration provides enhanced dynamic handling, including higher lateral acceleration and improved traction when accelerating. In the GLC 63 S E PERFORMANCE, the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive transmits the drive power to the road. The engine torque can be allocated continuously and as required from 50/50 between the front and rear axles up to 100 percent to the rear.
Equipment Packages in the 2024 Mercedes-AMG GLC
The AMG Night Package features high-gloss black exterior mirror housings, AMG side sill trim inlays, shoulder trim, window surrounds, and rear bumper trim. It also includes two black chrome twin tailpipe accents for the AMG exhaust system.
The AMG Night Package Plus adds dark chrome accents to the fins of the radiator grille as well as the badging on the fenders and rear of the vehicle, including the star at the rear.
The AMG Exterior Carbon Fiber Package includes elements in high-quality visible carbon fiber for the A-wing of the AMG front fascia, inserts of the AMG side sill panels, and trim strips in the AMG rear fascia.
The AMG Performance Studio Package provides an even sportier look for the GLC 43. The high-gloss black front splitter with flics on the sides and the rear diffuser with diffuser board is a visual nod to motorsport. Furthermore, there are additional flics for the air outlets in the rear fascia in high-gloss black.
