Specs and price of Aston Martin Valiant in Nigeria

Aston Martin has unveiled the track-focused, road-legal extreme Valiant Special edition. The high-performance supercar is powered by a 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 engine that produces 745 PS. Production of the Valiant is limited to 38 units globally and first deliveries will commence in Q4 2024. Let’s get down to the full specifications, release date, MSRP, and price of the 2024 Aston Martin Valiant in Nigeria.

Aston Martin Valiant was conceived from a personal commission from the company’s Formula One Team driver, Fernando Alonso for a lightweight, more extreme, race car-inspired version of the spectacular Aston Martin Valor. Following the commission, Valiant was born, as a strictly limited-edition special that has been carefully designed by experts to deliver true driving intensity both on-road and on-track.

Engine, transmission, brakes, and performance
The new Aston Martin Valiant is powered by an incredible twin-turbocharged V12 engine which generates 745 PS and 753 Nm of torque. Aston Martin mated the engine to a six-speed manual transmission system for swift power delivery to the wheels.

Standard on the high-performance beast is Carbon Ceramic brakes measuring 410mm by 38mm at the front and 360mm by 32mm at the rear for swift stopping of the car even at a top speed. Cooling air is drawn onto the carbon ceramic brakes by six strategically placed inlets to maintain optimum braking performance.
Wheels and tires
Valiant is equipped with lightweight 21-inch magnesium wheels fitted to 275/35 tires at the front and 325/30 at the rear. These new sets of tires and wheels improve steering response and wheel control, reducing unsprung mass by 14kg. The wheels are inspired by covers fitted to the legendary 1980 RHAM/1 “Muncher” Le Mans Racer. The aero discs reduce turbulence and drag created by the rotating wheels.

The design of the Aston Martin Valiant
Aston Martin engineers equipped the Valiant with a range of unique engineering highlights to reduce weight and dial-in chassis for serious track use. 3kg has been saved at the rear by adopting a 3D-printed subframe, while a magnesium torque tube reduces mass at the center point of the car by 8.6kg. Furthermore, 11.5kg is also saved by the use of a motorsport-spec lithium-ion battery, this was previously exclusive to the highest echelon of motorsport.

The Valiant’s dramatic bodywork makes an explicit statement of intent. Its exterior is finished extensively with lightweight carbon fiber. Broad and muscular with sharply chiseled features shaped to generate stability enhancing downforce and minimizing speed-sapping drag. Every inch of the Valiant’s immaculately sculpted form serves an aesthetic and aerodynamic function.

At the front is a deep splitter that helps pin the nose to the tarmac, while distinctive multi-layer planes guide and smooth airflow around the front wheels. A new full-width carbon grille placed directly above the splitter increased the flow of cooling air to the engine and reduced mass ahead of the front axle to help centralize weight distribution and improve handling.

The rear features a sharp Kamm tail and a boldly upswept deck lid topped by a prominent fixed wing. Also standard is a fixed, one-piece clamshell rear that features a hinged rear screen panel, allowing access to a load space perfect for the storage of race helmets and race clothing. A functional rear diffuser completes the aerodynamic package. The diffuser is designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics to make positive reductions in drag and lift, the carbon fiber construction provides the added benefit of reducing mass at the rear.
Drive modes
Aston Martin Valiant comes with pre-set Driving Modes – Sport, Sport+, and Track- to increase the limits of the new suspension system as well as offer greater aerodynamic downforce. Each mode has been recalibrated to aid the driver in progressively exploring the car’s full performance.

The interior design of the Aston Martin Valiant
The two-seat cockpit is finished in satin-finish carbon fiber and lightweight upholstery for uncompromised comfort, luxury, and tactility. A new steering wheel unique to the Valiant has been added for improved grip.

The manual gearbox exposes the gear linkage running rearward to the six-speed transaxle. Aston Martin engineers focused on perfecting the weight and feel of the gearshift with a new bespoke spherical gear knob and H-pattern shifting that maximizes gearshift effort and precision.

A choice of Alcantara, or semi-anilien leather cabin trim is available for customers. The door panels feature a sculpted design with mesh insert panels to reduce weight, along with lightweight fabric door release pulls.

Safety features
Driver’s safety was not undermined when building this high-performance car. The new Valiant features a built-in half-cage as standard together with bespoke trimmed Recaro Podium seats. The steel half-cage provides the anchor point to allow 4-point race harnesses to be fitted to the car. Recaro Podium seats provide exceptional lateral and shoulder support, with innovative pads featuring passive thorax ventilation for increased comfort during extreme driving.
Release date and delivery
The Valiant made its debut at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed with deliveries slated to commence in the fourth quarter of 2024.
