Tecno has unveiled its Phantom V Fold 5G, which will compete with the Samsung Galaxy Fold. The device was launched on February 28, 2023. Display
Tecno is coming up, nobody ever thought that the company would be dropping a foldable device this soon. The Phantom V Fold comes with a 7.85-inch folded LTPO AMOLED display that’s bigger than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 by 0.25 inches. The device comes with a screen-to-body ratio of 88.0% with a resolution of 2000 by 2296 pixels (~388 ppi density).
RAM and storage
I will recommend the 512GB ROM series for users who need more storage since there is no SD card slot on the device. The device features two storage options, 256GB and 512GB options, both devices come with standard 12GB RAM for seamless performance.
Camera
One feature I love about the Phantom V Fold is that you can take selfies with a triple rear camera. The device features triple cameras, a dual 50 MP lens, and a 13 MP ultrawide lens on the rear. The device records 4K and 1080p videos at 30fps. With the dual-LED flash strategically mounted at the rear, you don’t have to worry about the lighting conditions when snapping or recording a moment.
The front features dual cameras, 16 MP and 32 MP.
Battery and charging
The Tecno Phantom V Fold receives power from a 5000 mAh non-removable Li-Po battery. The battery is designed to cater to your daily power needs as well as reduce frequent charging.
According to Tecno, the device can be charged up to 40% in 15 minutes and 100% in 55 minutes using a 45W wired charger. That’s quite impressive.
