What’s new for the 2026 Honda Accord?

All grades, starting from the entry Accord LX and SE models, received a variety of significant upgrades inside and out for the 2026 model year. A 9-inch color touchscreen display, with a physical volume knob, a wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, plus a Qi-compatible 15W wireless phone charger is now standard on the LX and SE grade, this is almost 30% larger than its predecessor.

All SE grades also received enhanced sporty appearance and handling dynamics with a new set of larger 19-inch wheels and tires with an aggressive five-spoke design.

The 2026 Accord Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid add new black exterior accents. Other new catchy features on the grade include black window trim, and both models now feature black decklid badging, complementing their black door mirrors, a black shark fin antenna, and gloss-black B-pillar trim.

Engine and performance

A variety of powertrain options are available on the 2026 Honda Accord to cater to customers’ needs. The 2026 Accord Sport, EX-L, Sport-L, and Touring are powered by the powerful and efficient Honda two-motor hybrid system, delivering a combined power output of 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque. This hybrid system delivers quick and responsive acceleration, with an impressive EPA fuel economy rating of up to 51 mpg for city and 48 mpg combined on the EX-L.

The Accord LX and SE are powered by a 1.5-liter turbo engine with VTEC variable valve lift technology, producing 192 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 192 lb.-ft of torque at 1,700 to 5,000 rpm. Power generated by this engine is sent to the wheels by a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) featuring Step-Shift programming that simulates gear changes at full throttle.

Safety and driver assistance systems on the 2026 Honda Accord

All 2026 Honda Accords are equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistive technologies as standard.
