The design
For the 2024 model year, the all-new Toyota C-HR is debuting with a striking design displayed by the Prologue model released in 2022. The front features a new face for Toyota SUVs, seen also on the all-electric bZ4X and new Prius. The C-HR is the first Toyota model to feature the diamond cut character lines along the side of the vehicle underscoring the flush door handles and adding emphasis to the road presence.
The side is strengthened by short overhangs and large wheels- up to 20 in diameter. A new style of bi-tone paint design is available, extending the contrast black roof down to the rear bumper and into the car’s rear three-quarter section. Users can control the operation of the air conditioning system before making a journey with the MyT smartphone app. The high level of innovation in the all-new Toyota C-HR includes a unique-in-class automatic parking function. An app will also be available to allow full remote parking, with the driver outside the vehicle, allowing for even more precise maneuvering into limited spaces.
Advanced safety and driver assistance system
Standard across all trim is the latest Toyota Safety Sense portfolio of active safety and driver assistance features. The systems have been updated over time to safeguard against many common risks and to reduce the burden on the driver. Updates for the systems can be delivered over the air with no need for a retailer visit.
The Acceleration Suppression system slows any sudden the throttle when risk of a collision with a ahead vehicle is detected. New to the model is the Proactive Driving Assist (PDA) which works at low speeds, providing smooth deceleration when the driver comes off the throttle when approaching a slower vehicle ahead, or entering a bend. It also provides Steering Assist, which recognizes a bend ahead and adjusts steering force to help the driver make a smooth and stable turn.
Owners will also be able to choose an advanced safety package for their car, including features such as Lane Change Assist with Front Cross Traffic Alert, a Driver Monitor Camera (enhancing performance of the EDSS), an Automatic HighBeam System with camera control to adjust light distribution; and (where local regulations permit) hands-free driving to automatically follow the vehicle ahead in a stop-start traffic jam.
Available electric powertrains
For the 2024 model year, the C-HR model is available in four electrified powertrains, a lineup that improves carbon neutrality. The range consists of 1.8 and 2.0-liter hybrid electric (HEV) versions and a 2.0-liter plugin hybrid electric (PHEV) variant. The 2.0-liter HEV variant will additionally be available with the option of intelligent all-wheel drive (AWD-i).

It will also feature a head-up display and a JBL premium audio system.
