The production of Mitsubishi Pajero will be ending in 2021

It’s no longer rumor that one of the world’s best selling SUV will be discontinued in 2021. It would be recalled that the Mitsubishi Pajero was discontinued in their local markets last year, although they were still producing the cars for export, this gave a red light ahead of its discontinuation worldwide in August 2020.

2021 Mitsubishi Pajero

Mitsubishi Pajero was introduced in 2006. Ever since then, the model has received some minor facelift and redesign until the complete makeover that took place in last year’s model.

The worst part of it as it stands now is the fact that the company will be shutting down its Eponymous Pajero Manufacturing plant in Sakahogi, Gifu Prefecture in 2023, aside from the halt in production, most of the employees might lose their job and it may hit the country’s economy adversely.

The plant is huge and from our research, it accounted for over 10% of all Mitsubishi production in Japan. Aside from the production of Mitsubishi Pajero, other models such as Outlander and the Delica.

From the reports we got, the 2021 model will be massive. There have been so many updates on the brand. You can view photos of the supposed 2021 model in the gallery below.
