He had his primary and secondary school u to JSS3 at Chrisland Schools and then proceeded to Paris to attend Ecol Artive Berlin, where he completed his secondary education. He has a bachelor&#8217;s degree in architecture from the University of Nottingham and a master&#8217;s degree in the same field from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In 2008, he returned to Nigerian to partake in the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC). After completing his service to the nation in 2009, he obtained a second master&#8217;s degree in Research and Public Policy from the University of Lagos (UNILAG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>GRV is the son of Barrister Olawale and Mrs. Nkechi Rhodes-Vivour. A former justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, Bode Rhodes-Vivour, is his uncle,[9] while the late Judge Akinwunmi Rhodes-Vivour is his grandfather. He is the great-grandson of Steven Bankole Rhodes; the second-ever indigenous judge appointed in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Activism\"><\/span><strong>Activism<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>GRV is the convener of the civil society group, Nigerians Against GMO (Genetically Modified Foods), an anti-GMO advocacy group fighting against the proliferation of Genetically Modified Foods in Nigeria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;GRV and Nnimmo Bassey led a 2,000-man march in 2017 to the Senate to lend a voice in the fight against environmental degradation.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/sellatease.com\/public-blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/FqClqMLWwAARpqN-840x480.webp\" alt=\"\u00a0Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour\u2019s activism\" class=\"wp-image-7936\" width=\"630\" height=\"360\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;In 2022, Rhodes-Vivour collaborated with WellaHealth to provide free health checks and insurance for 1 million people in Lagos who have their Voter&#8217;s card, in commemoration of World Malaria Day and to encourage people to get their Voter&#8217;s card to enable them to vote in upcoming elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Career\"><\/span><strong>Career<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>He practiced his profession with Frankinb Ellis Architects when he was in the UK. On returning to Nigeria, he worked with firms like SISA, Building Partnership CCP, and Patrick Wayi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"_Political_career\"><\/span><strong>&nbsp;Political career<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>His political career can be dated back to 2017 when Rhodes-Vivour contested the Ikeja Local Government Area chairmanship under the KOWA party. He lost the election to the candidate of the incumbent APC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;He contested for the senate seat to represent Lagos west under the PDP in 2019. He came second in the final polls, losing to the incumbent senator and contestant under the ruling APC. He contested the result in court, citing electoral violence and disruptions as reasons why the result should not be valid.
