I will be writing on the history, the concept, the specifications, and the price of the Lamborghini Urus in Nigeria. The Lamborghini Urus is the first Lamborghini Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). The car was unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show on 23rd April 2012.
Under the hood is a 4.0-twin-turbocharged V8 engine that delivers 657 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque on both the Urus S and the Performante. The new hybrid grades are powered by a combination of a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 and a plug-in hybrid, producing a total of 789 horsepower and 950 Nm of torque on the entry SE grade and 801 horsepower on the top-of-the-range Urus SE Performante.
From the 2026 model year, the Urus lineup has been replaced by the hybird Urus SE and the Urus SE Performante.

The history of Lamborghini Urus.
The Lamborghini Urus is the first Lamborghini Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). The car was unveiled at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show on 23rd April 2012. This same SUV concept was shown at Pebble Beach in 2012.
The car was designed by Filippo Perini and Mitja Borkert. Filippo Perini designed the concept while Mitja Borkert designed the production version.
The car was last unveiled at Lamborghini’s Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters on 4th December 2017. The production began in February 2018. The company wanted to build 1000 units in the first year of production, and 3500 in 2019. The assembly of this SUV is at Sant’Agata Bolognese in Italy.
The Plug-Hybrid Urus
Lamborghini unveiled the first Hybrid Urus- the Urus SE in April 2024, based on the entry S grade. The grade is powered by a combination of a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine and a plug-in hybrid system delivering 789 horsepower and 701 lb-ft of torque. It debuted with slightly better acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h. This grade has an 80% lower environmental impact when compared to the older version of the SUV.
Two years later, the Urus SE Performante was unveiled, a plug-in hybrid variant of the Urus SE. This grade combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with a permanent-magnet electric motor for a combined output of 801 horsepower and 1,000 N.m of torque, making it the fastest Urus ever produced. At launch, the high-performance hybrid variant attains 62 mph from 0 in just 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 194 mph.

Lamborghini Urus is a 5-door mid-size crossover SUV that is produced by Lamborghini in Italy. The car comes with a front engine and four-wheel drive.
Interior design
The interior of the Lamborghini Urus balances its fighter jet cockpit aesthetics with high-end luxury craftsmanship. On the center console, you get a flip-up red start/stop cover and a large Tamburo drive mode selector. All over the cabin are hexagonal layouts starting from the air vents, cup holders, and dashboard accents.
The cabin is digitalized, thanks to the fully digital driver dashboard paired with two central touchscreens. These displays feature tactile haptic feedback for infotainment and climate controls.
Other premium materials in the cabin include Fine Italian leather, Alcantara, lightweight carbon fiber, and brushed aluminum finishes all over the cabin.
Exterior design of the Lamborghini Urus
All Lamborghini grades feature a bold and striking exterior design, with the SE models featuring sleek, slim LED headlamps. The rear lights are characterized by Y-shaped LED lighting elements. Hexagonal patterns are integrated into the air intakes, grille and wheel arches.
