The EQC 4X42 is an electric car of extreme. Mercedes Benz recently released an offroad all-electric SUV. It’s still a concept, for now, it’s not clear if the company will produce it for sale anytime soon. As a Nigerian, I will review the specifications of the Mercedes Benz EQC 4X42 concept. The EQC 4X42 as a technology platform is designed to demonstrate the love of adventure. Although its previous EQC models suffered a major setback, the company is forging ahead with the 4X42.

The EQC 4X42 rides more than twice as high as a production EQC at 293 millimeters. Its fording depth is increased by 15 centimeters to 40 centimeters. The tremendous ground clearance is made possible by the conversion to portal axles unlike conventional axles, the wheels are not at the height of the axle center, but instead, it’s situated much lower down on the axles hubs owing to the portal gears.
