Price of Acura ZDX in Nigeria

There’s no doubt that the Acura ZDX is one of the cars that have won the hearts of our youth. The exterior design, the curved rubber fixtures, and the overall design are cool for the price it’s going for. In this quick tutorial, I will be reviewing the price of the Acura ZDX in Nigeria.

A brief history of Acura ZDX

Acura is a brand owned by Honda, which is why most of its designs look alike. Acura ZDX is a mid-size luxury crossover SUV that was developed by Honda for its luxury division, Acura. In the initial release of a communiqué by the Acura company between March 16 and 20, 2009, there was a clear indication that the car had a sloping roofline akin to that of the BMW X6, which made many people believe that it would compete with the X6. Acura did not state the car as a crossover SUV; instead, they said it was a Luxury Four-Door sports coupe, which I don’t believe it is.

The production of the Acura ZDX started in 2009 ahead of the 2010 model year. It made its first appearance at the 2009 New York International Auto Show on the 8th of April, 2009. Acura ZDX broke the company’s record to be the first car to be completely designed at Acura’s Southern California design studio.

Specifications of Acura ZDX

The front-engine bay was filled with a 3,664 cc SOHC VTEC V6 aluminum engine with its rating pegged at 220 kW at 6300 rpm. The first model came with 6-speed automatic transmission, Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, a 19-inch, 7-spoke alloy wheels, a panoramic glass roof with moveable sunshades in case the rays get harmful, hand-stitched leather interior, HandsFreeLink Bluetooth connectivity, power tailgate, and a high-powered audio system with CD player, AM/FM/XM Satellite Radio, and USB audio interface with iPod integration.

The Sales of Acura ZDX began in winter 2009 and 79 units were sold that year.

The company didn’t look down on the technology aspect, they added so many technology features which include: the navigation system with voice recognition and Acura surround premium audio system, and an all-new multi-view rear camera for reversing the car.

Due to low sales, the Acura was sold in only one trim by eliminating CMBS, ACC, and IDS, and replacing them with forward collision warning [FCW], lane departure Warning [LDW]. The front grill is a new design, and new features that were included were: integrated parking sensors, power-folding auto-dimming side mirrors, and a new dark accent for the wheels.

The fall [ discontinuation ] of Acura ZDX

The company discontinued the ZDX in 2013 after it recorded poor sales. Until the date of discontinuation, the company produced a total of 7,191 vehicles, and it was sold mostly in North America.
