In today’s quick review, I will be writing about the history, specification, and price of Toyota Sienna in Nigeria. I will not leave any stone unturned in this article. Toyota Sienna is a 5-door minivan manufactured by the Toyota company since 1997. Its predecessor was the Toyota Previa. The model is manufactured at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana facility in Princeton, Indiana, United States. The production was initially made only for the North American market. This model was named after the Italian city of Siena, in the region of Tuscany.

Price of first-generation Toyota Sienna 1998 – 2002 in Nigeria.
The production of Toyota Sienna started in 1997 against the 1998 model year. Note that this generation came with mostly front-wheel drive as its basic drive train. The engine bay was filled with a 3.0 liter 1MZ-FE V6 engine that produces 194hp and a torque of 284 N.m.
The different trim levels include CE, LE, and XLE. It underwent some upgrade in 2000 ahead of the 2001 model. 2001 model got a facelift which made it a bit different from the previous model. Aside from the facelift, the engine was upgraded with a variable valve timing feature VVT-I boosting output to 210 hp and it produced 298 N.m of torque.
As at that time, Toyota Sienna’s safety was noteworthy. Its safety features include front seat-mounted side torso airbags and vehicle stability control and anti-lock braking system.

Price of the second generation Toyota Sienna 2004 – 2009 in Nigeria
The production of the second generation started in January 2003 in the United States. The model was designed by Kevin Hunter in the year 2000. To test the new project, Toyota assigned Yuji Yokoya as chief engineer. Yuji and his family drove the previous model for over 53,000 miles throughout North America to find weaknesses from the design.
The second-generation Sienna engine was upgraded to a ULEV certified 3.3-liter 3MZ-FE V6 engine with a new five-speed automatic transmission. The gear stick was also moved from the steering column to the center console.
The second generation was first unveiled the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. After the unveiling, the production was moved from the Georgetown plant to Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana.
The All-wheel drive variant was more expensive due to its sophisticated features which included run-flat tires.

The redesigned 2011 Sienna premiered at the Los Angeles Auto Show in early December 2009. Its production started in January 2010 ahead of the 2011 model year. The production took place in United. The designers were Ian Cartabiano and Kazuo Mori in 2007.
This generation offered five trim levels which are LE, XLE, Limited, and SE edition. The engine continued with the 3.5-liter engine. Everything was redesigned in this generation.

Fourth-generation Toyota Sienna price review in Nigeria.
Toyota company originally wanted to reveal the 2020 model at the 2020 New York International Auto Show in April, but instead, it was unveiled digitally on 18th May 2020 as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The model will be available as a 2021 model. It will be on sale near the end of 2020.
The fourth generation is only hybrid only, Toyota also claimed that the fourth-generation Sienna can still tow the same 1,600 kg capacity as the third-generation model.
