The Samsung Galaxy S9 series was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on 25th February 2018 to succeed the S8 series. The S9 series consists of two devices, the S9 and the S9 Plus (+). The S9 series looks almost the same as the S8 models, with the same display sizes and aspect ratio.  The display

Samsung S9 comes with a 5.8-inch Super AMOLED display while the bigger S9 Plus features a bigger 6.2-inch Super AMOLED display. Both devices also feature a resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 (~529 ppi density). Also standard is the always-on display feature.

 Camera

Dual 12 MP rear cameras are available on the S9 Plus while the S9 features a single 12MP camera. Both devices come standard with 8MP and 2MP selfie cameras. Both devices can record videos with 4K  (2160p) at 60 frames per second (limited to 5 minutes), 1080p at 240 frames per second, and 960 frames per second “Super Slo-Motion ” video at 720p for 0.2 seconds, all three of which have been featured on any Samsung flagship phone for the first time. The Samsung Galaxy S10 featured a 16MP rear camera for clearer pictures.

 Storage options

Three storage options are available on the S9 models: 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB, while the S9 Plus gives users the option of choosing from the available four storage option: 64GB 6GB RAM, 128GB 6GB RAM, and 256GB 6GB RAM.

RAM

All S9 models come with 4GB of RAM while the S9 Plus comes with 6GB of RAM.

Battery and charging

The S9 series features the same battery as the S8 series, the S9 model features standard with a Li-Ion 3000 mAh non-removable battery while the SP Plus model features a 3500 mAh Li-Ion non-removable battery. Both devices come with a 15W charger.

 Available color options

Available color options in the series include Midnight Black, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple, Burgundy Red, Sunrise Gold, Ice Blue, and Polaris Blue. Polaris Blue is only available on the S9 Plus.
