Biography
Yul Edochie’s full names are Yul Chibuike Daniel Edochie, he is a Nigerian actor, named after Russian Yul Brynner. He was born on the 7th of January 1982, he had his nursery and primary education at Lillian’s Day Nursery School and Robinson Street Primary School from 1984 to 1992. He graduated from New Heaven Boys secondary school in 1998.
After his secondary school educated, he got admitted to the University of Port Harcourt where he obtained a degree in Dramatic Arts.

Yul Edochie met his wife May Aligwe while at the University of Port Harcourt, and they got married six years after meeting. The union produced three sons and a daughter. Their names are Kambi Edochie, Dani Edochie, Karl Edochie and Victory Zane Chukwubuike Yul Edochie.
The actor was on the news and trended on many social media platforms when he revealed on April 27, 2022, that he had taken fellow actor Judy Austin, as his second wife, as well as their newborn son. Career
Yul Edochie joined Nollywood in 2005 in his first film titled “The Exquires” alongside Justus Esiri and Enebeli Elebuwa. He rose to the limelight in 2007 when he was featured in the movie titled Wind of Glory, alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Desmond Elliot.

Edochie declared his intention to run for the Governor of Anambra State on 14 July 2017, in anticipation of the not too young to run bill passed by the senate of the Federal Government of Nigeria. On 22nd of August 2017, the declaration was however made official when he picked up the nomination form of the Democratic Peoples Congress political party and he emerged as the flag bearer and gubernatorial candidate of the party to run for the Governor of Anambra State.
He declared his intention to run for the office of the President of Nigeria in the 2023 presidential elections.
