Black Line Special Edition package
Lexus limited the Black Line Special Edition Package to 1,000 units across North America for the 2025 model year. The premium package builds on the ES 350 F SPORT Handling grade with the same interior (White, Circuit Red, and Black NuLuxe®trim) and exterior (Iridium2, Cloudburst Gray2, Obsidian, Caviar, Matador Red Mica and Ultra White2) color options.
The Black Line Special Edition package adds Obsidian outer mirrors, a black rear spoiler, a black lower rocker panel, F SPORT puddle lamps, and door switch plates. Additionally, the package also adds a standard Lexus Interface with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a Head-Up Display, a Panoramic View Monitor, and a Smart Access Card Key. Mark Levinson Premium Audio System is also standard on the package for an immersive listening experience.
Platform and suspension
All 2025 Lexus ES lineup builds on the Global Architecture-K (GA-K) platform- a rigid front wheel drive chassis made from several grades of high strength steel. The structure is constructed with laser screw welding to offer a robust structure that can stand the test of time. A strut tower brace, multiple reinforcement panels for the strut towers themselves, and radiator support braces are also used to enhance frontend stiffness.
All grades feature a tuned suspension for a smooth ride. At the front is a strut angle that aligns at the ideal angle to improve ride quality. This suspension system is capable of responding to even the smallest movements. The rear is equipped with a trailing arm and a multilink setup that also benefits from the responsiveness of the Dynamic Control Shocks,
Engine, transmission, and performance
Three powerful powertrains are available for the 2025 model year. The high-performance 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 302 horsepower at 6,600 rpm and 267 lb-ft of torque at 4,700 rpm, with an estimated MPG rating of 22/32/25 (city/highway/combined). Power generated by the 6-cylinder engine is delivered to the wheels by an 8-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission system.
The 2025 Lexus ES 250 AWD is equipped with a 2.5-liter L4 engine that delivers enough power to the standard All-Wheel Drive system. Up to 50 percent of the engine torque is directed to the rear wheels in response to acceleration from a start or slippage at the front wheels, thanks to the Dynamic Torque Control AWD. In a situation where the AWD isn’t needed, the electromagnetically controlled coupling on the rear drive axle disengages the propeller shaft for improved fuel efficiency.
All hybrid grades are powered by a 2.5-liter, cylinder gasoline engine running on the Atkinson cycle coupled with an electric motor and a transaxle. The hybrid system delivers a combined power output of 215 horsepower and an EPA-estimated MPG rating of 43/44/44 (city/highway/combined). Power is delivered to the electric motor by a lithium-ion battery located underneath the backseat to free up trunk spaces as well as improve the front-to-rear weight distribution for better handling.
Exclusive F SPORT features
Two F SPORT packages are available for the 2025 model year- the F SPORT Design and the F SPORT Handling grade. The F SPORT Design is offered on all three powertrains, it adds F SPORT 19-inch split five-spoke alloy wheels with a Gloss Black finish and F SPORT exterior styling, including a unique front bumper, grille surround, and rear spoiler.
