What’s new in the 2025 Lexus NX?
Lexus made some minor changes to the SUV for the 2025 model year. New to the model are two new color options: Copper Crest (exterior) and Macadamia (interior, Luxury grade only), two USB Type-C ports, a wireless charger, and an Intuitive Parking Assist suite. The Intuitive Parking Assist suite comes standard with Automatic Braking, Auto Rain Sensing Wipers, and Power Back Door.

A range of powertrains are available for the 2025 model year including two hybrid electric models.
Two gasoline engines on the NX 250 and NX 350
The 2025 NX 250 is powered by a naturally aspirated, 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with start/stop functionality that’s mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission for smooth power delivery to the wheels. The engine generates 203 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque and attains 60 mph from 0 in 8.2 seconds on the FWD grade and 8.6 seconds on the AWD grade. Its combined EPA-estimated fuel consumption is rated at 28 miles per gallon.
On the other hand, the more powerful 2025 Lexus NX 350 is equipped with a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that produces 275 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque and can hit 0 – 60 time in 6.6 seconds with an EPA-estimated 24 MPG combined. The NX 350 shares the eight-speed automatic transmission system as the NX 250.
NX 350h
The NX 350h just as the name sounds features a hybrid powertrain that combines power from a D4-S fuel injection 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder gasoline engine and two-high torque electric drive motor-generators for strong acceleration. Lexus employed a second, independent electric motor to drive the rear wheels instead of transfer gears and driveshaft.
A total of 240 combined horsepower is delivered by the hybrid powertrain. The NX 350h hits 60 mph from rest in 7.2 seconds and has a combined EPA-estimated 39 MPG rating.
The top-of-the-range 2025 Lexus NX 450h+ Plug-in
The top-of-the-range 2025 Lexus NX 450h+ has an EPA-estimated 37-mile range rating on electric power only, made by the high-capacity lithium-ion battery. The model combines a 2.5-liter inline 4-cylinder engine and a hybrid transaxle to deliver top-notch performance with an estimated 6.0 second 0 – 60 time.
Under ideal conditions, the NX plug-in hybrid electric can be fully charged in approximately three hours when equipped with the standard seven Kw Onboard Charger.

At first glance, the 2025 NX blends a sporty, sophisticated design with a low center of gravity that offers improved performance. Interior design
The interior of the Lexus NX features a driver-focused cockpit that intuitively orients all essential controls and information within the driver’s reach and forwards sightline.
Interior seat and console colors include Black, Palomino, and Rioja Red in two types of trims: NuLuxe® on Standard and Premium grades, and Leather on Luxury. For 2025 Luxury models, a new interior color option, Macadamia, is available.
Customers can create an oasis with nature-inspired Thematic Ambient Illumination, this available feature bathes the interior of the SUV with a choice of 14 themes. Every theme is unique and they evoke the feeling of comfort, with themes including Rain Forest, Waterfall, and Sunset.

F SPORT Handling
The F SPORT Handling model adds improved driving dynamics with a sporty feel, thanks to the Active Variable Suspension (AVS), and front and rear performance dampers. Dark Graphite Aluminum ornamentation, a unique meter, bolstered sport seats, sport steering wheel, aluminum pedals, and scuff plates are exclusive to the F SPORT family. With perforated interior trim in Black and Circuit Red NuLuxe, the sport-inspired materials are integrated into the seats, steering wheel, and center console to complement the driving experience.
The front and rear bumpers feature an exclusive bold F SPORT grille. Also exclusive for the grade is a 20-inch black alloy wheels framed by color-key over fenders. This improves curb appeal and adds to the sporty appearance. Other features exclusive to the model include black roof rails and daylight-opening window framing.
Display, wireless compatibility, and USB ports
An option of two touchscreen displays is available for the 2025 model year- a standard 9.8-inch and 14-inch. These displays offer easy controls and clear information to the driver and front passenger. For a vivid display, the glass screen utilizes adhesion, an anti-reflective coating.
Device charging on the NX has been made easier, thanks to the available six USB ports scattered throughout the cabin. For the 2025 model year, two USB Type-C ports have been added to the front center console.
All 2025 Lexus NX lineups are equipped with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard. This enables occupants to access their favorite apps and control menus via the preferred ecosystem. Up to five Bluetooth-enabled devices can be registered on the system with up to two devices connected at one time.
