Bentley halts the production of Mulsanne in 2020

In a communiqué released by Bentley, they made it known that they are halting the production of Bentley Mulsanne after two decades of production. Bentley Mulsanne is the company’s luxury four-door sedan before the Bentley Continental Flying Spur was introduced.
In the communiqué, they made it known that the Flying Spur is the new flagship. The final example has been completed and this signifies the end of an illustrious and extraordinary lifespan. Over the years, over 7,300 examples of handcrafted Mulsanne have been produced.

The company planned an end of production celebration but this was cut short by the Covid-19 pandemic. Since the celebration can no longer hold, the company adopted a socially-distanced group photograph by the colleagues in other to celebrate the final car. The final car is named a Mulsanne Speed 6.75 Edition by Mulliner, it’s finished in Rose Gold over Tungsten. According to the company, the unit is heading to a customer in the USA.

However, the company maintained that the future of Bentley Mulsanne will remain a closely guarded secret.
It would be recalled the Mulsanne made its first appearance at Pebble Beach in 2009 and its been in production ever since then.

What’s new in the 2020 Bentley Mulsanne?
All the 2020 Bentley Mulsanne are from the unique 6.75 Edition by Mulliner which signifies the end of Mulsanne’s reign. The name was taken from its legendary 6.75-liter engine. The 2020 Mulsanne is limited to only 30 units.
The base price is pegged at $316,525.
