Price of Mercedes Benz ML Class in Nigeria

 The production of the Mercedes Benz M class started in 1997. You may be wondering why the company stopped the production of M-Class. No, the company didn’t stop the production of the M-Class, they only rebranded it to the GLE-Class. The GLE 450, GLE 63, GLE 43, etc are all in the M-Class lineup. This review will give you insight into the history, specifications, and price of the Mercedes Benz M-Class in Nigeria. It will be the price of the popular ML 350 and the rest. 

 When Mercedes Benz launched the M Class, BMW was already sells M models such as the M3, the company decided to add a three-digit engine-level afterward. The development also forced the company to defer a double-tiered marketing strategy “ML” badging. 

  The M Class has seen three generations since its inception in 1997. The third generation has the name changed and a complete redesign. In the cause of this price review, I will only review the price of the second-generation MLsince I have reviewed the prices of the third generations in my previous post.  First-generation ML-Class

 The production of the first generation Mercedes Benz ML class started in 1997 ahead of the 1998 model year. Mercedes proposed a plan to replace the G-Class which at the time had been in production for 11 years.

 The first-generation ML-Class was assembled in Austria between 1999 to 2002 and the USA. The model was designed by Bruno Sacco and Peter Pfeiffer in 1993. The production of the first generation ended in 2004.

Second generation ML-Class

The production of the second-generation ML-Class started in 2005 and ended in 2011. Its model years started in 2006 and ended in 2011. It was assembled in the United States. The designers were Andreas Deufel, Holger Hutzenlaub, and Steve Mattin.

 7 variants of engines was available for the second generation ML. they include 3.5 L V6 (petrol), 5.0 L V8 (petrol), 4.6 L V8 (petrol), 5.5 L V8 (petrol), 6.2 L V8 (petrol), 3.0 L V6 turbo (diesel), and 4.0 L V8 (diesel). The engine was mated to a 7-speed automatic 7G-Tronic transmission system.

The first design drafts have appeared in 2000 with its first production models in scale 1:4, and in 2001, three full-sized versions have been prepared.

The second-generation ML-Class AMG version made its first appearance at the 2006 North American International Auto Show as a limited edition in 2007 model. the AMG version is the popular ML 63 AMG. It featured a 6.2L M156 V8 engine that produces 375 kW and torque of 465 lb.ft. The engine was handcrafted in Germany.

 In 2007, design work on the updates to the W164 was finalized and patented domestically in Germany. The ML-Class got a minor facelift as it debuted at the 2008 New York International Auto Show in March 2008. 

 The upgrade includes new headlights, redesigned front and rear bumpers, new exterior mirrors, new rims choices, a larger front grille, a restyled interior, and a new ML 420 CDI engine choice. The ML 280 CDI became the ML 300 CDI, the 320 CDI became the 350 CDI, and the 420 CDI became the 450 CDI.
