Porsche has unveiled the new 2025 Taycan with an extensive update. It debuted with more power, more range, quicker acceleration, and charge faster with greater stability. The company also sharpened the design to differentiate the electric Taycan from Turbo models. A range of standard features which include the generation of the Porsche Driver Experience with an improved display and control concept were added to the new sedan. Release date of the 2025 Porsche Taycan
The 2025 Porsche Taycan will arrive at dealerships from the spring of 2024.
Performance
The new electrified 2025 Taycan attains a 100 km/h mark from zero in just 4.8 seconds. Both come with WLTP combined electric power consumption of 20.0 – 16.7 kWh per 100 km and CO emissions of 0 g/km. Its electric range is rated at 503 to 678 km combined, and 569 to 821 km in town.
The Taycan Turbo S hits 100 km from rest in just 2.4 seconds, that’s quite impressive. Its electric power consumption is rated at 20.5 to 17.9 kWh per 100 km and 0 CO emissions. Drivers will enjoy an electric combined driving range of 558 to 630 km, and a 612 to 619 electric range when driving in town.
For the 2025 model, the Taycan is 0.6 and 0.4 faster than its predecessor, thanks to the new improvements on the sedan.
The touch of a button activates the new push-to-pass function 1 in the Sport Chrono package which offers a boost of up to 70 kW, depending on the model. The increased acceleration rates are generally the result of higher system output. For example, the base Taycan delivers 60 kW more than before. In the Taycan Turbo S, it’s an additional 140 kW with Launch Control. This increases the system output of the top model to 700 kW/952 PS.
More than 35 percent more range compared to the predecessor
For the 2025 model year, the driving range has been increased to up to 678 km, an increase of 175 km. With the new Taycan, owners require fewer charging stops. Porsche equipped the sedan with a fast charging system that can support up to 800-volt DC charging.
The 2024 Taycan EV charges from 10 to 80 percent at 15 degrees Celsius in 37 minutes, the new 2025 Taycan attains the same feat in just 18 minutes, despite its larger battery capacity. Porsche also increased the gross capacity of the Performance Battery Plus package to 105 kWh, which is an increase of 12 kWh.
Chassis
Standard across all the 2025 Taycan is the adaptive air suspension that offers an unprecedented bandwidth between driving comfort and driving dynamics. Customers who desire the new Porsche Active Ride suspension can order it as an option for the all-wheel drive versions.
The new suspension is designed to keep the body of the Taycan level at all times, even during dynamic braking, steering, and acceleration maneuvers as well as absorb bumps almost completely. The option Active Ride suspension ensures an almost perfect connection to the road, thanks to a balanced distribution of wheel loads. If the appropriate mode is activated, the suspension can compensate for pitching and rolling motions to reduce the acceleration forces acting on the occupants.

The new offers great improvement in performance and efficiency, thanks to the advanced powertrain with a new rear axle motor with up to 80 Kw more than its predecessor on all models, a modified pulse inverter with optimized software, more powerful batteries, revised thermal management, a next-generation heat pump and a modified recuperation and all-wheel-drive strategy.
The automaker also increased the maximum recuperation capacity during deceleration from high speeds by 30 percent from 290 to up to 400 kW. Standard across all grades is an aerodynamically 21-inch wheel and reduced-rolling resistance tires.
Technologies available in the 2025 Porsche Taycan
The new 2025 Porsche Taycan is equipped with a range of more extensive technology than before. Standard features on the sedan include  Ambient lighting, ParkAssist with reversing camera, electrically folding exterior mirrors with mirror surround lighting, heated front seats, Porsche Intelligent Range Manager (PIRM), heat pump with a new cooling system, smartphone tray for wireless charging, electric charging ports on the driver and front passenger sides, Drive Mode switch and Power Steering Plus
All Taycan base models are also equipped with adaptive air suspension and aluminum door sill protectors as standard. Porsche also equipped all grades with a new battery with increased capacity and less weight.
New attractive design
The new 2025 Taycan received new front and rear-end styling with new headlights and taillights. The new front wings and the flatter headlights offer even greater emphasis to the width of the Taycan.
At the front, the new headlights feature high-resolution HD matrix technology with detailed optics and now display the brand’s characteristic four-point graphics at night. The Porsche logo in the rear light strip features a three-dimensional, glass-look design. An illuminated version of this is available for the first time, featuring welcome/leaving animations.
Among other notable features, the accent color Turbonite makes the Turbo and Turbo S models stand out more distinctively from the other versions in both the exterior and interior.
Updated controls and display
Porsche redesigned the instrument cluster, central display, and the optional passenger display to pave the way for additional functions. The mode switch on the steering wheel is standard. Customers who equipped their sedan with the optional Sport Chrono package and the Performance Battery Plus also received a special push-to-pass button on the mode switch.
Using the new control lever on the left behind the steering wheel, control of the driver assistance systems is even more intuitive. Apple CarPlay has been more deeply integrated into vehicle displays and functions. The new In-Car Video function enables video streaming on the central display and the passenger display.
