What’s new in the 2022 GMC Acadia?
The 2022 Acadia is debuting with SLE, SLT, AT4, and Denali models with available seating for six or seven passengers, depending on the model.
The AT4 trim comes with available AWD, with Active Torque Control AWD.
Available as an option is the Hitch Guidance with Hitch View.
Standard on the SLT, AT4, and Denali trims is a hands-free power liftgate.
The 50/50-split third-row seat folds the flat load floor behind the second row.
Infotainment and connectivity
Standard across SLT, AT4, and Denali trim is the GMC Infotainment System with an 8-inch diagonal color touchscreen and Navigation are standard on SLT, AT4, and Denali and available on SLE.
Your connectivity is assured with the built-in Wi-Fi Hotspot with available 4G LTE data with an option of a 3GB or 1-month data trial depending on the one that comes first. Built-in Amazon Alexa capabilities are also available.
Safety systems
GMC Pro Safety Plus Package is standard across all trims. Its contents include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, IntelliBeam, Rear Park Assist which includes Front Pack Assist, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Following Distance Indicator, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert.
Engines and powertrain
A 2.0L Turbo I-4 engine that produces 228 horsepower is available on the SLE and SLT trims as standard. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The 3.6L DOHC V-6 engine that produces 310 horsepower is available as standard on Denali and AT4 while it’s available as an option on the SLT trim. The engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission.
Maximum cargo space
The maximum cargo when the second and third row is folded is 79 cubic feet. We get 41.7 cubic feet when the third row is folded.
