Samsung has unveiled its fifth generation foldable device, the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 5G, the foldable smartphone was released in July 2023. It debuted with a 7.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display when unfolded, and a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display when folded. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and runs Android 13. Battery and Charging
The Galaxy Fold 5 has a 4,400mAh battery and supports 25W fast charger which can charge the phone to 50% in around 30 minutes. It also supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
RAM and ROM
The foldable device features 12GB of RAM for smooth performance. An option of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB of ROM is available on the device, you can choose the one that suits you.
Processor and OS
The Galaxy Fold 5 features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and runs Android 13. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 is a powerful processor that can handle even the most demanding tasks. Android 13 is the latest version of Android, and it offers a number of new features and improvements.
Camera
On the rear of the Samsung Galaxy Fold 5 is a triple-lens rear camera setup which consists of a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto sensor. The new slimmer and more compact S Pen Fold Edition makes real-time annotating and ideation easy while being able to fit more comfortably in the pocket. The Slim S Pen Case is nearly the same thickness as a regular case for the Fold and available in a variety of styles and colors so users can carry their S Pens in style.
Made from recycled materials
Samsung is bent on making a the planet safer by attaining net zero carbon emissions by the end of 2030 for the Device eXperience Division. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 is made from a variety of recycled materials than previous generations, including pre-consumer recycled glass and aluminum and post-consumer recycled plastics, sourced from discarded fishing nets, water barrels and PET bottles.
The paper used for their packaging box is made using 100% recycled material. It would be recalled that the Samsung Galaxy S23 was built and designed with a wide range of recycled materials.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is available on pre order from July 26, with general availability starting August 11.
