The new 1794 grade
For the 2025 model year, the Toyota Sequoia gets the 1794 grade. The grade pays tribute to its San Antonio heritage with its design themes. All 1794 grades incorporate real American walnut wood grain interior trim, unique leather-trimmed heated and ventilated massaging front seats, and sleek 1794 badging. Other standard features include 20-inch alloy wheels, 2nd-row captain’s chairs, a panoramic roof, and a tow tech package.

The new exclusive Mudbath color option
A new exclusive Mudbath color option, which is only available on TRD Pro grades is available for the 2025 model year. This new color option is also available on the new 2025 Toyota Tundra.
New massage seats
For the 2025 model year, the front seat passengers can now experience luxurious comfort, thanks to the available leather-trimmed seats featuring 10-way power adjustment and integrated massage functions. The new front seats feature options for both upper and lower body massage conveniently controlled via the intuitive available 14-inch multimedia touchscreen. Massage seats are standard in 1794, Platinum, and Capstone grades.

Powertrain
All grades of the 2025 Sequoia are equipped with the powerful twin-turbo V6 hybrid i-FORCE MAX powertrain that delivers 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission system.
The SR5 and Limited grades are offered in 2WD or part-time 4WD. Part-time 4WD is standard on the 1794, Platinum, TRD Pro, and Capstone grades.
Chassis
The new 2025 Sequoia features an advanced body-on-frame chassis with a fully boxed frame that shares architecture with the 2025 Toyota Tundra. Toyota adopted this platform for the full-sized SUV to provide excellent handling, comfort, and impressive capability.
Towing
The new Toyota Sequoia offers an impressive 9,520-pound maximum towing capacity. To offer safe and stress-free towing, Toyota equipped the SUV with a range of technology. The new technologies include a Tow Tech Package, which is available on all grades, but standard on TRD Pro Platinum, 1794, and Capstone grade. This technology offers a suite of features that include a Trailer Backup Guide that aids in backing up the SUV with a trailer. It also features Straight Path Assist which provides steering control to keep the trailer straight on its intended path when backing up.
New to the lineup is the wireless trailer camera system (WCS) that offers an unforgettable towing experience with increased visibility. Customers just need to simply charge and attach the pre-paired Wi-Fi camera to the rear of their trailer and seamlessly stream a live view from behind on the standard digital rearview mirror.
Available grades, standard and optional features
The 2025 Toyota Sequoia is offered in six grades including SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794, TRD Pro and Capstone, with each grade debuting with unique interior and exterior looks and feel.
The entry SR5 grade offers impressive standard features that include the i-FORCE MAX powertrain that is mated to the standard 10-speed automatic transmission, standard Toyota Safety Sense 2.5, available Panoramic Moonroof, and available heated and ventilated first second-row seats. Other standard features include a standard 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM). Customers who desire more features can upgrade to the SR5 Premium package. This package adds the 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia display, power third row, hands-free liftgate, SofTex®-trimmed seats, and cabin and cargo 120-volt power outlets.
TRD Sport Package is also available on the SR5 as an option. This package upgrades the standard 18-inch wheels to 20-inch matte black TRD wheels. It also adds TRD sport-tuned Bilstein monotube shocks and TRD-tuned springs.
The Limited grade is equipped with a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen as standard, it also adds heated/ ventilated front seats with memory settings. Other standard features include a heated steering wheel, power-folding third row, and a hands-free liftgate. The grade also offers a choice of a bench seat or captain’s chair for the second row.
Customers can also equip their SR5, Limited, Platinum, and 1794 4×4 models with an available TRD Off-Road package. The TRD Off-Road enhances off-road capability with the addition of a selectable locking rear differential, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control. Toyota also added the Multi-Terrain Monitor to help provide a better view of hard-to-see spots for the driver.

The premium Platinum grade adds premium comfort and premium features, thanks to massaging front heated and ventilated seats, second-row captain’s chairs, standard 14-speaker JBL Premium Audio system, standard panoramic moonroof, and standard Head-Up Display. Toyota added high-grade LED headlights and taillights, along with sequential turn signals. Rain-sensing wipers are added to Platinum, as well as standard Qi wireless charging.
The new 1794 grade

New to the 2025 Sequoia is the 1794 grade which adds premium features to the lineup. The cabin features American walnut wood-grain trim pieces with “1794 EDITION” etched on the dash and unique 1794 floor mats. This safety suite includes a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection that features multiple enhancements over the previous generation, including not only detecting the vehicle ahead but also a pedestrian in low light, a bicyclist in the daytime, an oncoming vehicle, and a pedestrian at intersections when making a turn. The system is designed to detect an oncoming vehicle or pedestrian when performing a left-hand turn and provide audio/visual alerts and automatic braking in certain conditions.
Other standard systems include Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC), Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, Blind Spot Monitor, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Toyota’s Rear Seat Reminder.
Limited Warranty and ToyotaCare
All 2025 Toyota Sequoia come with a 36-month/36,000-mile basic new-vehicle warranty which applies to all components other than normal wear and maintenance items. Additional 60-month warranties cover the powertrain for 60,000 miles and corrosion with no mileage limitation.
