Hybrid powertrain, transmission, and performance
For the 2025 model year, all Continental GT Speed is equipped with a high-performance hybrid system which consists of a new 4.0-liter V8 engine capable of producing 600 PS with a 190 PS electric motor. The combined system output is 782 PS- enough to take the beast from 0 – 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds at a top speed of 208 mph (335km/h).
The new powertrain arrangement also increased the torque output by 11 percent when compared with its predecessor, from 900 Nm to 1000 Nm. System power also saw a leap from 659 PS to 782 PS in the new Continental GT Speed. This new parameter makes it the most powerful Bentley ever produced, aside from the second-generation Supersports and the Batur.
Power generation by the new hybrid powertrain is delivered to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission and an electronically limited slip differential (eLSD) for exceptional power delivery and reliable traction in all conditions. The new transmission system adopts an active torque vectoring front to rear through a center differential, and precision vectoring across each axle using the brakes.
The 190 PS, 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) electric motor strategically placed within the transmission housing is powered by a 25.9 kWh battery mounted behind the rear axle. This helps to achieve a perfect weight distribution and up to 85 percent of the battery capacity is useable.
Bentley engineers have also been able to deliver improved power and torque across the full rev range. The electric motor is designed to deliver strong acceleration from low speeds and throughout the mid-range combined with increased performance from the V8 engine at higher speeds too. The exhaust was not left out in the redesign. It has been tuned to emphasize the cross-plane quality without the use of artificial, electronic enhancement.
Full electric mode and charging
In full-electric mode, customers enjoy silent and seamless motoring. The electric motors deliver 190 PS and 450 Nm and can be deployed at speeds of up to 87 mph/ 140 km/h, with throttle applications of up to 75 percent.

All trims are equipped with an 11 kW peak charging power that can charge the 25.9 kWh battery in just 2.75 hours. With this, you don’t have to wait all day to replenish your battery.
Drive modes
A range of drive modes are available to manage how the energy flows. They include pure EV, electric boost, regenerative braking- and, the charge mode, where the engine drives the wheels and charges the battery simultaneously.
More power, less emission
With the introduction of the new hybrid powertrain, the new Continental GT Speed delivers more horsepower, more torque, and less CO2 and fuel consumption figures. This provides an extraordinary range of driving capabilities, from extreme performance to silent and effortless electric luxury.
Chassis
Standard on the new Continental GT Speed and GTC Speed model is the new Bentley Performance Active Chassis. This new chassis includes Active All Wheel Drive, an electronically limited slip differential, all-wheel steering, torque vectoring (front to rear and across the axles), Bentley Dynamic Ride active anti-roll system, and a new generation of ESC control software. In addition, the car is also equipped with a new dual valve damper system and dual chamber air springs, which enables more sophisticated tuning options.

The new twin-valve damping brings several benefits including allowing increasing force spread between soft and firm settings- the result is reduced compromise between soft and firm settings, thereby reducing compromise between road surface isolation and body control.
The new chassis offers improved comfort in comfort mode and even better body control in sport mode.
Braking system
Both grades are equipped with 10-piston front calipers and four-piston at the rear.
- Ventilated iron brakes, with 420 mm front / 380 mm rear disc
- Carbon-Silicon-Carbide brakes, with 440 mm front / 410 mm rear discs
The exterior design
The new Continental GT Speed continues the three key design elements seen through Bentley’s heritage since the iconic R-Type Continental of 1952.

All grades debut with a front end inspired by the upright elegance of a thoroughbred horse- reinforcing the status of its exceptional luxury grand tourer. Also new to the grade is an “endless bonnet” that creates a strong horizontal line through the car indicating the high-performance engine and pure speed.

For the 2025 model year, a new horizontal “eyebrow” headlamp is standard. This new headlamp features a deep crystal cut diamond effect to the top of the lamps and an illuminated lower pattern. A total of 120 separate LEDs are contained in the matrix LED lamps. These LEDs are digitally controlled with differing responsibilities for low beam foreground to high beam power boost, thereby increasing their capability to illuminate the environment.

At the rear of the car are a redesigned bumper, taillights, boot lid, and exhaust tailpipes. The boot lid incorporates an integrated aerodynamic form to offer a rear downforce without the need for a deployable spoiler, while also being cleaner with less embellishment.

The taillights were not left out in the redesign. The new taillights feature a new appearance with wider graphics stretching into the boot lid. The lamps protrude out from the boot and internally they feature a deep three-dimensional diamond pattern across their form. When illuminated the tips of the diamonds accentuated creating a molten lava-like visual effect.
Wheels
A new 22-inch wheel that draws inspiration from the tiger- with “claws” of the wheel digging into the road. The new wheel is available in dark tint paint with polished accents, gloss black or silver painted.
The luxury interior
For the 2025 model year, the Continental series features a new precision quilt pattern taking inspiration from modern fashion design to the seats and doors. The cabin offers a top-notch environment for an extraordinary journey, thanks to the sculpted quilting, fading perforations, and a new quilt embroidery.

20-way adjustable seats are standard on the Continental GT for top-notch comfort and refinement. Other interior features include the optional Wellness seating with Postural Adjust and Auto Climate to the front seats, minimizing fatigue and providing a level of relaxation that is truly unique.

New to the Bentley Continental GT is a new Dark Chrome Specification that provides a more contemporary aesthetic and gives a more understated character to the cabin. This applies to door handles, switches, speaker grilles, and many other areas around the cabin. Bentley’s bespoke division – Mulliner – will also be offering a collection of unique features enabling further personalization to the latest model.
Sound system, rotating display, and lighting options
An option of three audio systems is available for the 2025 model year. Standard on the GT and GTC is a 10-speaker and 650 Watts system, while the Bang & Olufsen 1,500 W, 16-speaker system with illuminated speaker grilles is optional as an option. A Naim 2,200 W, 18-speaker system with Active Bass Transducers built into the front seats and eight sound modes is also available for the true audiophile. Laminated acoustic glass is retained for the windscreen and side windows, resulting in a nine-decibel reduction in exterior noise versus non acoustic glazing.
The iconic Bentley Rotating Display was retained. This consists of a 12.3″ high-definition display, three elegant analog dials, and an unbroken side of handcrafted veneer. Customers can select whichever one they want at the touch of a button.
Ambient lighting
Bentley also added mood lighting around the cabin to create a cocooning effect. Occupants can choose the best theme that suits their taste from the available 30 color options.
New color options
New color options have been added to the extensive palette. This includes a new modern Gravity Grey hide, also offered with a matching sophisticated metallic exterior paint that looks solid until the sunlight hits it, revealing metallic copper accents.
At the launch, the new Continental GT will debut in Tourmaline Green, a vivid and modern interpretation of the iconic Bentley Green.

Technologies in the 2025 Bentley Continental GT
Both the Continental GT and GTC Speed are equipped with the latest generation of electrical architecture. This enables a significant step forward in infotainment and driver assistance technology. The model now features the most advanced technology in its segment.
Strategically mounted on the dashboard is the driver’s instrument panel that enables driving in semi-assisted mode, providing feedback to the driver on how the car is responding to other vehicles. The intelligent Park Assist aids in self-parking with speed control.
In the cabin, the air conditioning system has been revised to increase cabin wellness including air ionizers, a new particulate matter filter, and displays showing air quality outside and inside the vehicle. The system also synchronizes with the car’s satellite navigation, knowing when to improve cabin air quality.
Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and over-the-air maps also received improvements. Customers who choose to pair their mobile phone will enjoy connected car services, including:
- Remote charging status, allowing monitoring and control of vehicle charging when plugged in •
- Remote Park Assist – enabling the possibility for a customer to park or summon their vehicle remotely from their phone
- Remote cabin pre-conditioning – ensuring the climate in the car is set before a drive starts, including seat heating.
US and European customers will also enjoy the new green traffic light prediction, which is increasingly activated in major cities and allows a “Magic carpet” drive through the city center.
The fourth-generation Continental is also equipped with the new My Bentley App studio. This is the next addition to the model’s digital ecosystem for customers.
The new 2025 Bentley Continental GTC Speed
This is the first time the company is launching the new open-top GTC with the coupe variant. The Convertible grade features an in-house built seven-bow fabric roof system that’s available in a range of seven exterior colors. It deploys in 19 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph (48 km/h).

The open-air Grand Tourer hits 60 mph from 0 in just 3.2 seconds, with 0 – 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. Bentley electronically limited its top speed to 177 mph/ 285 km/h for safety reasons.
