Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi was born on 27 January 1996 to a polygamous family in Ikorodu, he is the last child from a family of 10 ten children. He had his early days in Ikorodu, and he then proceeded to have his secondary school in Badagry. Bella Shmurda holds a bachelor’s degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University.
He rose to fame after he dropped his debut single “Vision 2020” in 2019. The song caught Olamide’s interest who did a follow-up remix of the song. The song went viral when Poco Lee, a dancer and close pal to Bella Shmurda made a video with the song, this is what earned Olamide’s interest. The collaboration earned him enough support as well as building his fan base, which encouraged him to release his first EP “High Tension” in 2020.
In 2020, he released several songs which featured other artists, he was nominated for the Next Rated Award at The Headies in 2020.
